Sixers and Eagles Bring Hope to Philly Sports

Philadelphia sports fans have been known to have bold predictions, and this year is no different. Philadelphia sports seem to be looking up this year with 2nd year quarterback Carson Wentz in the pocket for the Eagles. The Eagles also picked up Pro Bowl wide receiver Alshon Jeffery. The 76ers are also expected to make a large improvement from the less-than-exciting past seasons. They signed JJ Redick to help pick up the pace, along with the no.1 pick in the 2017 NBA draft Markelle Fultz. Philly’s two most exciting teams have high expectations in the next season.

With the 2017-18 NBA season approaching, it is the perfect time to start making predictions for the 76ers. It is a little hard to judge the team’s success because there are a lot of young players on the roster. Sometimes young players can be on the same page and dominate because they don’t fatigue as fast and their athletic abilities are at their peak. It is not uncommon to hear fans talk about 50 or more wins for the Sixers. Most people are saying that the 76ers could and will be a playoff team. It also helps that the Eastern conference in the NBA is not that great compared to the Western conference. Fans are also saying that Joel Embiid will hopefully play more than the 31 games that he played last year. All Sixers fans can do now is to hope that they keep progressing forward and that no more injuries come.

As for the Eagles, fans are expecting them to make the playoffs for the first time since 2013. This year the eagles have some new weapons that will increase their chances of winning. Alshon Jeffery and Torrey Smith will give 2nd year quarterback Carson Wentz some options. The pick up of LeGarrette Blount should improve the run game even though Darren Sproles seems to be pulling most of the weight.

Nelson Agholor has been on the eagles roster for three years and hasn’t been producing good stats at all. He is expected to show up this year and finally have a good season. As for the overall predictions, the popular opinion for the regular season win-loss count seems to be around 8-8 to 9-7.

That might or might not not earn them a spot in the playoffs. We’ve seen teams get ten wins before and still not be a playoff team.

Both of the top Philly sports teams have high hopes for this year. The chances of both teams making playoffs seem good which excites Philadelphia sports fans. Trust the process.
